VSAT Connectivity Star, Mesh and Hybrid
Network is based on a star configuration with two hubs located at Riyadh and two at Jeddah. The remote VSATs are installed at customer premises across the Kingdom.
The Network configuration consists of the following components:
– Riyadh and Jeddah hub stations, having two 8.1 meter Ku-band antennas and two 4.5 meter Ku band antennas connected to four satellites, multiple redundant RF and base band equipment and a network management and control facility.
– Remote VSATs with Ku-band antenna and ODU located at customer sites
– Fully meshed MF-TDMA satellite network.
– Supports data rates from 16 Kbit/s up to 16 Mbit/s per site.
– Highly dynamic assignment of transmission capacity.
– Supports many applications like voice telephony, video conferencing via bit transparent links, Frame Relay etc.
– IP-based direct LAN interconnection via Ethernet interface.
– LAN interconnection via Frame Relay interface.
– Fully meshed MF-TDMA satellite network.
– Supports data rates from 16 Kbit/s up to 16 Mbit/s per site.

ATM & Mobile Banking connectivity, and FLM
Skyband’s unique customized solution offers Net Banking and Phone Banking facilities using the same connectivity media at offsite ATMs. This value added service gives an innovative advantage to banks.
Net Banking from the same kiosk helps banks to utilize resources optimally since the customer can be connected to the central server and do online transactions, while waiting to withdraw cash from the ATM.

Skyband’s ATM solution integrates seamlessly with the existing network and supports legacy protocols such as HDLC, SDLC, X.25, etc. Skyband has in-built IP router functionality, so it is just plug-and-play!
